End of year – thoughts

It’s December 19, 2007 and there is dozen of days more to meet 2008, its good time to summing up one’s thoughts and experience of the year that passed and aspirations of New Year.

For me 2007 is very good year as personally and career path too. Well, in the starting of the year I had started Blog. It makes me to met lot of friends who are interested in blogging. Somehow its help me to order my life things and planning the day.

The next thing I believe as it adds more value to me in this year is technology I belongs to in my career, Its Salesforce CRM. I have chosen this as my tech area on this year. While the time I was not in hope and confident about this tech area and get in to this by kind of push but now I think like it was good add - on in my career.

Good habit is started reading more on leisure time, it adds more value to me particularly broad base my own area/world. More over my attitude is changed. Thereafter, whenever I have seen book stores used to start surfing books.

Then coming to 2008, I don’t have a resolution but I do have excitement over 2008 and feeling it will be a year full of great things.

Have a great New Year!!!

Be Humble

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied: The world over 5 million learned and started to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD "Why me?". And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"

Happiness keeps you Sweet, Trials keeps you Strong, Sorrow keeps you Human, Failure keeps you Humble, Success keeps you Glowing, But only God keeps you going.....

Keep Going.....

Do you want to die…

Hey friends don’t frighten, I just got this question while reading my favorite author Robin’s book.
Before do want to die let me what is life. For me it’s all about being happy, surround by friends / well wishers /people I love, staying healthy, doing work I love etc.

No one knows that when will our life ends. My buddy Robin asks, how would you show up today if this day is your last ;)?I had just listed myself to do list for my last day or make it things want to be done in my life time. My list keeps growing ….
It makes commitment for life no for the day. Ultimately question comes to me, how you are going to make use of the day.

See how powerful question, sometimes I think that is it cheesy motivational statement? No, it would bring some urgency and commitment to the life/day. Robin recommends to ask our self everyday once we wakeup.

Some special mantras / things to do / follow:

Die daily
Live like tomorrow never comes
Take some risks
Open your heart little wider
Speak your truth
Show you respect for the gift of life that’s been given to you
Shine brightly today
Chase your dreams

People will remember you as one of the great ones and your funeral will be a celebration.

Leadership

I just walk down with one of my friend a couple of weeks before whom strongly seeking leadership quality in his role. Then we walk over land mark in Spencer. We got introduction of Robin sharma, a leader always with top CEO’s or leader of the world in terms of training and communication.

I just brought a book of greatness guide; I am not here to review the book. But it spokes lot about leadership for people in any role.

While the time only I got to know leadership is not only for leaders / CEO’s. It is skill to be a leader for anybody in their role.

What I feel saying “No” for something is more important rather being accept all things come across us. I feel this is more important point of Robin. We can’t be all things to all people.
They best among us get that what our priorities/goals. Know what needs to get done over the coming weeks, months and years. Then say no to all other things. This is very strong recommendation of Robin.

I feel to saying no to friend who wants to meet over cup of coffee to gossip. Saying no to relatives who laugh at our dreams and making doubt our self.

I feel there is huge value in getting good at saying no. just think about do you need others approval to play your life as you planed either personal or professional life.

Pen Pals

A pen pal relationship is often used to practice writing and reading in a foreign language improving literary, to learn more about other countries and life-styles, and to ameliorate loneliness. As with any friendships in life, some people remain pen pals for only a short time, while others continue to exchange letters and presents life-long. Some pen pals eventually arrange to meet face to face.

I heard about this when I was doing my college, thing that was second year.
That was quite interesting that one of mine close friend used to make pen friends at that time. I like that very much. Then I had marked inland letter ;) to my friends who is not in touch for a long time, say school friends. Those friends are excited and called me immediately. That is very nice.

You may thing that why letter in 21st century, be an engineer why not go for email. I like that thrill in letters.

A modern variation on the traditional pen pal arrangement is to have a key pal and exchange email addresses as well as or instead of paper letters. This has the advantage of saving money and being more immediate, allowing many messages to be exchanged in a short period of time. The disadvantage is that the communication can be very ephemeral if the email messages are not routinely saved. Many people prefer to receive paper letters, gaining the satisfaction of seeing their name carefully printed on a thick envelope in the letterbox.

Still am in same thought to share and gain more information and like to see and chat with more people. But now email is better option

You are also a person having such a thought, please put comments...
